الحالة الاجتماعية :- متجوز من Dany Garcia منذ تاريخ 3 مايو 1997 بعد قصة حب دارت أثناء دراسته الجامعية في جامعة ميامي .

ملحوظة :- مذيعة Raw الشهيرة Lilian Garcia هي أخت Dany زوجة The rock واسمها الحقيقي : - Marlo Garcia .
والده :- هو Rocky Johnson وهو من الامريكان السود , وطبعا كان مصارعا محترفا في اتحاد WWF
The rock هو الابن الوحيد لهما .

نشأ The rock وترعرع بين عدة بلدان ومناطق أهمها ,Hawaii; New Zealand; Bethlehem PA; Hamden, Connecticut , وقد كان ولعه وحبه لكرة القدم واضحا منذ الصغر , بالاضافة الى الموسيقى أيضا وبالطبع المصارعة, وكان في طفولته دائما مايلفت الأنظار بذكائه الغير عادي ....واستجابته لفهم الاشياء بشكل سابق لسنه .
أتمم The rock دراسته الابتدائية في مدرسة Shepherd Glen , وكان متميزا في دراسته , ومولعا بحبه لكرة القدم, وشارك في جميع المسابقات المدرسية المتعلقة بها .

- أنهى The rock دراسته الثانوية في مدرسة الحرية في منطقة بيثيلهام في بينسيلفينيا, والتي كان مسؤول فيها عن جميع النشاطات المتعلقة بكرة القدم وكان آنذاك أفضل لاعب في المدرسة وكان عمره 14 عاما
من عام 90 الى 94 أنهى The rock دراسته الجامعية في جامعة Miami , ولم يتوقف ولعه بكرة القدم بل بالعكس ...كان هو كابتن فريق الجامعة الذي كان يسمى فريق أعاصير ميامي , والذي فاز ببطولة الفرق للجامعات عام
ملحوظة :- رسالة تخرج The rock كانت متعلقة بعلم الجريمة وكيفية مكافحتها لدى القاصرين .
بعد تخرج The rock وانهاء دراسته , كانت كرة القدم هي الهدف الذي يطمح اليه ....فكانت هي خطوته القادمة>>>>

طموح The rock في كرة القدم تعدى كل الحدود , حيث أنه لم يقبل باللعب الا في الاشهر والافضل ألا وهي NFL ,ونظرا لتميزه الواضح في اللعبة وخاصة أثناء دراسته الجامعية , وبشكل غريب لم يتوقعه ....يتم بالفعل التعاقد مع The rock للعب لفريق CFL وكان ذلك عام 1995 .
وبغرابة شديدة, يشاء القدر انه بعد ان يمضي العقد بأيام يصاب بأصابتين في ظهره , ويخضع لعملية جراحية......

ولم يتمكن باللحاق بالفريق ,,, فتم الاستغناء عنه.....حزنThe rock على ضياع الفرصة حزنا شديدا , وقرر العودة الى المكان الذي يقطن فيه عائلته والتي كانت منطقة تسمى Tempa .

وفي أثناء طريقه لتلك المنطقة .... سأل The rock نفسه ؟ مالذي أفعله ؟ ان عائلتي مصارعين حتى النخاع ؟ وانا ترعرعت وتربيت بينهم ,

لماذا لاأكون واحدا منهم ... وأكمل هذه المسيرة ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
